what is going to be brought to the table for this year for the bmx portion.

I guess the
nickname Robocop for me has been proven a fact. Robocop meaning I always have
a thousand things going on. Two days before starting to build for Extreme Thing
I received a phone call saying, "If you need dirt, get it today or tomorrow.
If not its gone." I decided to go both days to ensure the opportunity stayed.
Here is a sneak peak of what Camp Laguna #2 is going to offer with over 150
yards of soil.

I'm really psyched about 2009. So far there have been a lot of good things happening
and some things the I wouldn't chose to have happen. The good does far out weight
the bad though. On the brighter horizon of my life, I've just received a box
from Dan's comp where I happen to be on the cover of the new spring/summer 2009
catalog. While we are on the subject of coverage, I just got done filming another
TV show for "Las Vegas Minute". Which I have no problem doing. As
Christopher Gerber loves to comment to me, I am all hype and less ride. But
its working out for me!

Daily Habit on Fuel TV
I'm psyched! I feel very accomplished to say I just got
done filming for the TV show called "The Daily Habit" on fuel TV.
The show will first air on March 13th. Of course once the cameras were rolling,
my smile turned on and my motormouth tendencies came out. You'll have to stay
tuned for the facts. I was only in the studio about 30 minutes, but I cranked
it out. This trip came with bonuses from seeing the beach to being up close
to the Hollywood sign, which I just learned the Hollywood sign used to read
Hollywood land. Just ask your neighborhood limo driver for all interesting Hollywood
facts as I did.
Winter Dew Tour
I love how luck sometimes throws me a curve ball. On my
way to the airport, heading out to Tahoe for the Dew Tour, I got into a bumper
car incident causing me to miss my flight. I arrived much later then planned
but overall I got to pick up my Dew Cups and hit some powder. I have to say
after watching finals for "Super Pipe" it definitely opened my eyes
to the level of riding that the riders had to offer.

Dersert Breezes Park brings you the one and only premier action sports/music
festival - eXtreme Thing, in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada! Come out and celebrate
great music and the alternative sporting lifestyle at Desert Breeze Skate Park
on March 28, 2009.
Pink Carpet
The Pink carpet event for the show X burlesque at the flamingo just happened.
You had to know you would catch me at the check in area inhaling all the chocolate
covered strawberries. After walking the pink carpet, I got the opportunity to
do a quick interview with one of the TV shows covering the event. I was a little
shocked at the personal questions the host kept throwing at me. Stay tuned for
the link to heard the FACTS! I really had a great time, and it was a great show.A
big thanks for Amy & Alissa for the invited.

I know, I know, I've been slacking on the updates and I have a book of excuses
about why I have not updated the website, but instead of going to page 50 in
the book of excuses, here is a brief summary of what has happened since the
last update.
I recently invested in a house where I have built a new playground with no learning
curve because just about every ramp in the backyard is a resi. Here are some
photos and a short video that was made for VITAL BMX to show where I've been
spending the past few months chopping and drilling away.

Over the course of a few weeks we completely revamped the Nellis BMX Track.
The time and work proved to be worth it by the time the NBL Jackpot Nationals
hit March 14th and 15th at the course. After rebuilding the track from the ground
up, everyone seemed to respond extremely well.

With the holidays behind, and priceless memories still coming, Woodward Winter
Camp definitely stood out this year by being around a bunch of campers and hanging
out as well as teaching them new tricks. I always enjoy riding at Woodward as
well as being able to hang out with new riders from camp that are just coming
into the sport, it makes me remember how I felt when I first started riding.
I can never count out Russel's Christmas parties where you can always be thrown
into the center of attention.

The UPS man showed up today with a strenuously heavy box and my impatient self
had to open it on the spot. I looked inside only to find the 2009 Dans Comp
Calendar. I started flipping through and was excited to see myself as Mr. November
once again.

After returning from my French excursion there is nothing better than coming
back to the family and them showing me Ride BMX's mag December issue to find
my self doing a flip no hander. On top of that the now nationally famous moped
getting some coverage in BMX Plus' January issue. In that very same issue I
have a two page spread, "5 Tricks Without Taking Your Hands Off."

Four days before departure to The Vibrations Urbaines contest in Bordeaux France
we had a brief scare when I thought I had broken my ankle – turns out
it was just badly sprained. Trying to maintain my reputation for being tough
as nails (right...) I decided to go on with the journey to southern France.
The weather was kind of a drag and it turned out that I literally flew to Europe
to watch the rain fall and find out just how miserably cold I could get. Despite
the inclement weather, I could go on for days about the talent that was seen
at this place. On the brighter side I got to see my car on display plus I was
invited to see a tv show where they talked about only albino kids.

Another interbike goes under the great memories! While I was at the Koxx booth
I got a chance to do a review on the Resurection line

After bad there is always good I guess we can say! Cory Nastazio was going to
host the second annual Steven Muarry jam in Tehachapi, CA. But after mother
nature shut us down, We had to head out to woodward west were everyone that
came out for the jam had to keep it indoors. Which in reality is not that bad!
While I was riding in doors Fat Tony ask me if I would like to do a "How
to do" For bmx online and this is what was made after some none sence of
me

T2 is back home after long visit
T2 AKA Trophy 2 from Brazil, last years Australian T1 replacement (LOL) stayed
with me for about 6 months. We were able to bond and learn a lot from eachother.
I helped him with his Spanglish skills and he taught me about his culture. I
will definitely miss T2 and I hope he can migrate sooner to then later, back
to the desert. Or as T2 would say infierno.

Show in France
No wonder why I love Europe. The rain never seems to
stop pouring down. Once again there was a big chance of this show not happening
but somehow, someway, with a lot of work, we made it a reality. Even more shocking
was the huge crowd that accumulated for the show. The show had trial bikes,
an MX freestyle show, and us the BMXers. This was possibly one of the most fun
shows to me, since it was pure dirt, cool vibes and a crowd that would go nuts
over my gloves and helmet as I threw them into the fans. To make it even better,
I was introduced to the infamous Ricard drink. A drink that tastes terrible,
but with a name like that, what's not to love?

In Between comp and show
It always seems to amaze me what riding a bike has physically taught me. That
anything in life is possible if you can dream it, you can always make it happen.
I had always dreamt of doing what I do, but I never set specific goals for myself.
I just woke up everyday to do what makes me feel alive, riding my bike! A good
example of that would be from this trip. I was able to vacation a little and
enjoy the sights! I did everything from horse back riding to surfing. I met
some great people and was able to ride some trails that I never thought I'd
be able to ride in my life. No wonder why I just can't stop riding that little
kids bike!
Lord Of Dirt comp
It seemed like the day wasn't getting off to a good start. It had rained the
day before leaving everyone wondering if the event was going to happen. They
had even thought about canceling it. So you know what that meant, soggy jumps,
and the tricks had to be tamed a little bit. As the day went on, even with the
horrible weather, the event really seemed to take off. We had tons of riders
from Europe here competing and the crowd stuck around. So what seemed like an
event that wasn't even going to happen, ended up being a great event with a
good crowd! I want to give a big shout to Patrick Guimez, My fellow teammate,
for making this event possible. He did everything from putting it together,
to inviting everyone. And better yet... Winning the event! In second place Markus
Hamlp.. and proud to say a bronze placing with an awesome trophy with actual
dirt from the course on it, myself!
