For the past two days I headed out to MGM to check out Supercross! It didn't
surprise me that James Stewart cleaned the house taking home $100,000 dollars!
Seeing the fresh dirt and bob cats at the Grand Garden really motivated me to
work really hard on my back yard. Here is a sneak peak at what I have been working
on. Long hours at the Laguna household.

Interbike made it's way to Sin City this weekend. You know what that meant.
Long days at the trade show and crazy BIG sessions in the back yard! The other
big attraction that interbike brings into town is NORACUP. Mandalay Bay held
the event and let's just say it was MADNESS... pure MADNESS with all the BMX'ers
partying it up inside the House of Blues!

Yesterday
my buddy Art randomly called me to see if I wanted to go shooting in the desert.
My roomates were so excited about the idea... telling me "WE MUST GO!"
Good thing I listened to them, because we had a blast blowing up anything we
could find out there. Trophy was so crazy with the guns he was in the ZONE.

Finally
I am back home and just as I predicted I am sick! I was feeling under the weather
during the Warriors of Wood Competition and rode super conservative. I missed
finals by a couple of spots. The wood course made riders have a 6 inch sweet
spot to land. If you missed it...that would make all the riders pull it over
hoping they would not mess up on their other run. Especially if they wanted
to be in the top spots. That did not mean that top riders were holding back!
Anthony Napolitan won best trick with a 360 triple whip. TJ Ellis won the comp
with some amazing runs. Mike "hucker" Clark... a 360 spinning machine...
almost pulled a double flip...he left sitting in 3rd place. I can NOT wait to
see what the city of San Jose and the Ryan Nyquist crew are coming up with for
next year since they've committed to have another Warriors of Wood!

This year FISE was a true
journey! Making it out to Montpellier was rough! I had a 10 hour lay over in
Paris. I found TJ Ellis strolling around the airport. After getting on the last
plane ride and finally arriving to Montpellier, TJ and I hit up the night life
activities. I had to call it quits a bit earlier then planned, since there was
a riot at the after party. The dirt course was a ton of fun. A lot of good riding
took place over the weekend. The video will show you the madness! I finish 5th
Place after almost pulling a Flip double whip. TJ Ellis won the contest! Followed
by Ryan Guttler and Rob Darden. Montpellier got to see 1080, 7 truck, front
flip whip, etc out of those riders. Now onto the street comp. The level of riding
is not slowing down at all. The only thing I have to say is decade to 360. In
one jump... What? You heard it right! Mark Webb pulled the trick off! After
the event Rob Darden, his wife, TJ Ellis, and myself hopped on the same flight
home. We had a 13 hour lay over in Paris where we had the great idea to go on
a excursion and check out the town! However with rain, cold weather, and just
about everything closed it made it that much more of interesting quest. With
my luck I had a feeling I was going to be sick for Ryan Nyquist comp due to
our cold quest... but what priceless memories.

Over
the weekend I had Ben and Eva come out to the yard to ride. During there stay
Danny got a bit motivated to send a Backie over the spine. He also learned the
hard way that tail whips over the resi spine can hurt...after a bet was made
with Eva... She had to do the spine! I don't think there is too many chicks
that can hit a spine in BMX and Eva has been added to be one more in our sport
to jump a spine.
